DAY 1
Good Start For NYIT
The Bears kicked off their 2017-18 season on the road, traveling down to Wilmington, Delaware to take on the host team in the first round of the CACC/ECC Challenge, and they came away with the victory, holding on a 81-76 win. U. Sciences Over LIU Post

Sciences of the CACC on top, and they held off repeated rallies by the Pioneers, incuding a 7 point run that cut it to 41-39 at the 11:28 mark of the second half, to hold on for a 63-54 victory.  The bench was a big factor for LIU Post, scoring 31 of their 54 pints, led by Alonz Ortiz-Traylor, who finished with 13 point and 13 rebounds, and Tracy Cleckley, who had 11 points and 7 rebounds. Freshman Darien Jenkins from Deer Park also had 7 points and 4 assists off the bench in his first college game.  11/10
