North Babylon's Isaiah Moore had 18 points, Amityville's Andy Laurent 17, and Babylon's Fernando Vazquez 16, but the Golden Eagles couldn't stop Ithaca from scoring, giving up 111 points on the road. STORY

Former Long Beach star Tyquan Scott, who led Long Island in scoring in his senior year and also won the Slam Dunk Contest, has led Herkimer CC to a 5-0 start with games of 27, 20, 22, 15, and  34 points!

Manhattan Drops Pride
A late 8-0 run put Manhattan in control and they went on to defeat Hofstra 80-68. Hofstra freshman Eli Pemberton had 15 point, his third straight double figure game. STORY

The Pride gave up a late lead on the road, with Sacred Heart rallying from a 62-53 deficit for the win. STORY

Lions Nips Stony Brook
Northport's Luke Petrasek scored 20 points and pulled down 5 rebounds, despite foul trouble, to lead Columbia to a 73-66 win over Stony Brook. STORY

Hofstra held on for a win in their home opener, with freshman Eli Pemberton leading the way. STORY

The Seawolves rolled to a 94-48 exhibition win over D3 Farmingdale State. In other news, First Team All-America East guard Carson Puriefoy signed a contract to play pro ball with Latvian Champion Valmiera-Ordo.

First Win For New Coach
NYIT bounced back from their opener, defeating U. Sciences 68-62 to give new Head Coach Kevin Hamilton his first victory. Smithown East’s Jon Feiler continued his comeback, scoring 18 points and pulling down 10 rebounds to lead the way. Walter King, who transferred in from Maine, added 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. STORY

Hopes are high for this year's LIU Post team, but they stumbled out of the gate, falling to 0-2 with a loss to Wilmington. STORY

Tough Trip For Molloy
Molloy fell to 0-2 with a tough 81-76 road loss to LeMoyne. The Lions have have been in both games, but need a dose of home cooking to get them started. STORY

Adelphi Off To 2-0 Start
 Adelphi shot an incredible 76.0 percent from the field in the first half, building a 55-27 lead, and cruised to a 95-78 win over Georgian Court. Dowling transfer Chris Millender, who played at Longwood, was one of five double-figure scorers, finishing with 16 points and 4 rebounds. STORY

Molloy Drops Road Game
It was a tight game throughout, but host St. Rose held off Molloy 74-68. STORY Mount Sinai's Mike Guzzardi, who transferred from Dowling, finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Molloy has 7 Long Islanders on their roster this season.

NYIT Falls In Opener
Smithown East’s Jon Feiler made a triumphant return after missing most of last season with an injury, scoring 32 points and pulling down 15 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as NYIT fell to Wilminton 75-70 in their opener. STORY

U. Sciences Defeats Post
U. Sciences went on a 15-3 run to open the second half, breaking open a close game and rolling to a 78-66 win over LIU Post in the opener for both teams. STORY Freshman Jared Rivers, who is from Westbury and played for Christ The King, had 12 points and 4 assists in his first college game, and fellow freshman Hall Elisias from Valley Stream South finished with 4 points and 5 rebounds.
